What is the Heritage Council?

Photo of the Old Town hall in downtown VacavilleThe Vacaville Heritage Council is a
non-profit historical archives and research organization specializing in local Solano County History. We assist with the preparation of manuscripts on specific phases of city, county, and statewide history including personal histories of local individuals and families.

We photograph historic maps, documents and old family albums. Entire family albums brought to the Heritage Council are digitally photographed and photo CDs returned to the donor with their original albums. Information stored in our archives is made available for non-commercial reproduction and use by the public and other organizations.
