This photo of Vacaville Union High School was taken in 1912, shortly after the School Street bridge was completed. Vacaville Union High School was designed by George Sharpe and built in 1898 at a cost of about $10,000. The School was demolished on July 30, 1954 and classes were moved to the present location on Monte Vista Ave.

A view of Andrews Park taken from the intersection where Main Street crosses Davis Street in Downtown Vacaville. You can see part of the Reporter’s 3-Flag Monument at the right side of the frame. Today, Andrews Park is a part of the new Creekwalk, which is home to a variety of festivities and events held throughout the year.
